I am Dr Samza Fatima having over 13 years teaching and research experience with over one-year experience as head of School of Law. I have over thirteen years’ experience of research including report writing and document specialist. I have forty-five publications including book, book chapters and research articles in peer reviewed refereed journals. I am editor of Journal of Law and Social Studies, the first Journal of Law I started in Pakistan to promote legal education recognized by HEC.

I did my PhD from UK and LLM with “Distinction” from UK. During my stay at UK between 2011-2016, I have been research fellow at ‘Centre for Research in Law (CRiL)’ Business and Management Research Institute (BMRI) at University of Bedfordshire, UK. Being part of CRiL I have been participating and presenting my research work in monthly research seminars, attended various research trainings at UOB and at Institute of Advanced Legal Studies London, on “how to write a PhD thesis’ ‘academic writing’ ‘how to choose and appropriate research methodology including qualitative, quantitative, doctrinal and socio-legal research. During my studies at UK, I also got experience working with Noble Solicitors for 6 months from January to June 2013. Currently, I am serving as Associate Professor of Law and Principal University Gillani Law College, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. During my Principalship, as a custodian of an institutions, I took several key initiatives to enhance the learning experience of students, teachers and staff. I took various steps towards academic and research excellence, alongside introducing new programs and expansion of institution. Over the period of more than 13 years of my career, so far, I have earned student-led teaching excellence award and management excellence award from the Vice-Chancellor of the University, attended various national and international conferences as ‘key-note’ speaker and presented papers, published my research in several peer-reviewed, refereed journals including publishing my book on ‘Corporate Governance in Pakistan’, peace ambassador award, recognition as key-worker and part of policy-making regarding women empowerment, prevention for gender-based violence (GBV), countering violent extremism (CVE), promoting peace, tolerance, inclusivity and inter-faith harmony in HEIs. In the next five to ten years, I aim to be a potential leader as an effective teacher and productive world-renowned researcher in the field of Law continuing being part of policy-making. Currently, I am working on my upcoming book “Fundamentals of Company Law”.
